A great option to students who are undecided of what career path they want or if they are not ready to attend a four-year college or university. It is also a cost-effective way of getting a higher education and getting general education classes completed.

Trade or Vocational Program
Trade or vocational programs offer trainings for specific jobs, especially for students who do better in hands-on learning versus academic learning. These programs include a wide-range of job training from web-design to cosmetology.

Military
If physical activity, strict structure, repetition, and discipline are some of your strengths, the military may be a good option for you. Not only is it a way to give back to your country but the military can also offer many post-service jobs and college opportunities. There are five service branches: Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy.

Gap Year
Don't feel ready to go to college yet? A gap year is a growing option many high school graduates are doing before going onto a higher education. It can help you discover your interest, save up money, or be an opportunity to improve your resume. Its also an opportunity to do an internship, find a job, travel, or volunteer.

Working Post-Graduation
School may not be what you want to do, and that's okay! Working right after high school is a lot more common than people think, and can also help you find out what you want to do with your life. It's a great way to begin your life and gain things like work experience, skills and training, and grow from a teenage mindset to an adult mindset. Sometimes finding a job might be harder if you don't have experience, so volunteering, job shadowing, or interning are also great first steps.
