As the month of April winds down, Alcohol Awareness is even more important than ever. As you know, alcohol abuse is a very serious concern, but it is often harder to recover from alcohol abuse than many other drugs. When you are in recovery, one of the biggest risk factors is being around "people, places and things" that can remind you of alcohol and past use. This can be extremely hard as alcohol is sometimes very present in our society. Often times it is present in events such as weddings, BBQs, going out to eat, etc. and can't always be avoided. There is so much support out there for someone struggling with staying sober, and sometimes the more people in your corner, the better chance you have at a long life of recovery!
